Social sustainability needs to take centre stage
In a recent survey of our audience, we uncovered that more than half of culture-seekers don’t feel well informed about how to live more sustainably. Going deeper, almost 4 in 5 specifically don't feel well informed on matters of social sustainability.
This demonstrates that whilst we need to continue to take steps forward in the environmental space — there are even more knowledge gaps to fill when it comes to matters of diversity, inclusivity and understanding the perspectives from the melting pot of cultures and communities across New Zealand.

It's time to share the mic
When it comes to levelling up our social sustainability, we’re turning to underrepresented, diverse voices in order to educate ourselves.
Our community are not interested in second hand stories. 79% told us that they want to hear more unique experiences from people from all backgrounds, cultures from across the country for them directly.
So, we are sharing the mic with these voices to help give New Zealanders the knowledge they want.

INTRODUCING
The Faces of Aotearoa
HEROING CHANGEMAKERS AND TRAIL BLAZERS IN AOTEAROA THAT ARE LEADING THE WAY TO A BETTER TOMORROW.
The Faces of Aotearoa is a platform that shines a light on all communities across New Zealand that make our nation so incredibly unique and diverse. It provides a platform for the individuals who are paving the way for a better tomorrow. The best part? It’s a celebration of the people, lead by the people — with an open invitation to nominate anyone who is taking that leap and being the change they want to see.
Whether it’s profiling the small business owners who are placing socially responsible practises at the forefront of their business model, or individuals who are championing social causes in the face of adversity — this campaign is giving a voice to people’s unique and true experiences from all backgrounds and cultures, rather than telling the story for them.
