THE CHALLENGE
Help young Australians with a ‘savers mindset’ get clued up on how to build their financial wellbeing and feel good about their finances, with the help of ANZ.

THE INSIGHT
The financial crash and the general volatility of the market have led to a general distrust of the finance sector, particularly for those under 35. Surprisingly, 71% of millennials said they would rather go to the dentist than listen to what a bank has to tell them—but on the flip side, 92% want to learn more about money and finances.

THE IDEA
Team up with ANZ and finance guru Emma Edwards from The Broke Generation to create a fun and approachable four-week Financial Wellbeing Bootcamp, helping both the financially-stumped and financially-savvy become even more financially fit.
IN JUST 2 MONTHS...

To put our audience’s financial wellness to the test, we kicked the campaign off with a gamified quiz to uncover their financial wellbeing score. Bucketing them into two streams, we were able to dish up different messaging to serve their financial needs.

Knowing our audience already had an affinity with Emma Edwards gave the Financial Wellbeing Bootcamp an approachable, recognisable and non-authoritative voice—mixing playfulness and humour with ‘boring’ money talk proved to be an effective and welcomed solution.

59% of participants said they feel more confident about being able to reach their savings goal after participating in the Financial Wellbeing Bootcamp, while 41% said they actioned the financial tips provided.
